After the Australian Government recently announced their biggest ever spend on Cybersecurity, the second season of Proofpoint's 'Hackable Me' could not come at a better time.
The new season investigates the broader costs of cybercrime, both financial and emotional, and features guests such as Malcolm Turnbull, Australia’s former Prime Minister and businessman, an ‘ethical’ hacker, a deceived homebuyer, and a variety of Proofpoint’s team of experts.
Episode two sees Malcolm Turnbull discussing Australia’s 60% increase in ransomware attacks against business entities last year, making it one of the most targeted countries in the world according to the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC). What’s more, Australia’s electronic spy agency will double in size and ramp up its ability to launch its own offensive cyber operations as part of a $10bn national security budget (source).
The first season of “Hackable Me” helped establish Proofpoint as a major player in the protection of businesses, their employees and their data, with over one million media impressions and thousands of episode downloads.
