What is your role at Just Media?
As Senior Manager of Insights & Analytics, I lead the day-to-day operations of the Analytics department in Austin. I help review/develop new processes to ensure our team continues to evolve and improve efficiencies within client accounts and cross-functionally. I also work with specific clients to help understand and visualize their data to help better inform their business goals and decisions.
What do you enjoy the most about working with data?
I love diving into the data and making sense of it all. It’s like a treasure hunt, sometimes you don’t know what you are looking for, but if you keep digging, you may hit gold!
What have you learned & how have you grown at Just Media?
Not only have I learned so much about the B2B space, I’ve learned a lot on what it takes to be a leader. Not many will believe it, but I came to Just
What does it take to be successful at Just Media?
I would say organization, hard work and to ask a whole lot of questions.
What’s your go-to lunch spot around the Austin office?
My desk — just kidding! I love Ramen Tatsuya so that I can channel my inner Naruto.
What inspires you at Just Media?
All the people that I work with. Not a day goes by where I don’t learn something new from someone here. Education is one of the most important things to me, the constant push to elevate your knowledge game; it keeps you young.
What’s your favorite way to spend the weekend?
You’ll either find me balled up on the couch bingeing on Netflix or on top of one with a mic, singing my heart out.
You began your Just Media Career in the Emeryville office. How was the transition with relocating and joining the Austin Team?
It was hard to leave my friends and family behind, but after some thought, I packed my bags and started to drive. Success doesn’t come without sacrifice.
What tips do you have for anyone looking to relocate for a new position?
I say go for it! You will not learn more about yourself and what you want until you throw yourself into an unfamiliar situation. Not knowing anything about Austin challenged me to do better and be better.
What has been your favorite agency event?
ATX Retreat at Lake Buchannan! Nothing like roasting marshmallows with one another around a campfire haha!
Finally, what advice would you give to someone who is just getting their career starting in digital marketing?
The world of digital marketing continues to evolve, and there is always something new or changing. Don’t be afraid to ask questions or jump into new projects you think you don’t have perspectives on, take on the challenge. You will only learn as much as you let yourself.
