Can you tell us a little about your role at Just Global?

As Associate Director of Client Finance and Operations, I work on on both our internal and external financial processes to make sure we sustain healthy revenue growth. On a day to day basis, I work closely with our project management and account teams to oversee the financial aspects of our client work to safeguard our finance controls and policies.

You have a diverse background, coming to Just Global from YMCASF to The Betty Mills Company and other agencies. How did you find yourself moving to the marketing side of finance?

I have always had the love of numbers. Give me a spreadsheet and I can make it sing! While my background is quite diverse as far as the industries go, the financial rules are all similar if not the same. My career has been shaped by the people I’ve met along the way. I have continued to enjoy my journey in the marketing industry and found my way to Just Global.

What do you wish more people knew about finance and operations side of agency work?

People oftentimes think that financial success is the only thing that determines the health of a business. What I believe and want people to know is that the internal data, feedback, collaboration, and process are also all-important indicators of business health. Everything is connected through finance and operations.

Which of Just Global’s values do you most identify with and why?

Hands down, People first. The people I work with on a day-to-day basis are what keeps me excited to come to work. It’s actually the people at Just Global that brought me to the agency. This past year especially given the state of the world has shown how supportive and invaluable everyone here is. If you think about it, work is your second home. You spend most of your time with the people you work with so it’s important to me that we get along with one anotherIt is difficult to put into words how appreciative I am of everyone on the Just Global team.

Is there a project or other achievement you’ve earned while working at Just Global that you’re most proud of?

There’s so much behind-the-scenes work that goes into the operations and functions required for an agency’s business to work properly. Not only do those processes need to exist, it would also have to run smoothly.  I am most proud of contributing the establishment and success of our internal controls around Just Global finances across accounts and systems.

What does it take to be successful at Just Global?

Be yourself and remain positive. There is always a solution to any challenge.

We’ve been on an incredible long streak of 0 missing timesheets agency wide. This is genuinely impressive and something you deserve credit for! How have you built regular timesheet entry into the Just Global Culture?

We’ve standardized this practice to run weekly reporting to ensure time is updated. This is a team effort. Everyone’s time at Just Global is valuable so it is important to sustain an agency culture where everyone knows their time valued.
