LinkedIn Rolls Out Native Video Ads 

LinkedIn recently rolled out native video ads, which is a wonderful way to connect with B2B consumers. Although some brands utilize video across Twitter and Facebook, their messaging may feel more at-home on LinkedIn’s platform. Effective video ads are typically no longer than 15 seconds, contain subtitles, and include a Call to Action. Most importantly, encourage your viewers to visit a landing page! Testing for success is essential. With any form of ad, we recommend A/B testing in order to refine audiences and ensure positive engagement. LinkedIn video ads are a great way for our clients to convey their campaign’s message in a new light.

Google AdWords Ad Suggestions

Ad Suggestions are a new feature in Google AdWords. Starting April 29th, 2018 AdWords will auto-generate ads for all ad groups with at least 1 Impression in the last year. Account Admins will then have 14 days to apply, edit, or dismiss the suggestions. If the changes are NOT DISMISSED, then they will be automatically applied to Ad Groups. Advertisers will be able to opt out of the auto-applied ad suggestions through account settings. These ads are written by robots, and they can read like they were written by robots. In order to protect brand messaging and ad coherence, Just Media will make it a best practice to opt out of the auto-application of the Ad Suggestions. All ads, auto-generated or not, will go through the same rigorous QA process prior to going live. We are not ready to completely trust the machines, yet…
