Ensuring AI works for us is all about collaboration. And one of the most exciting parts of our AI journey has been the creation of the AI Trailblazers group. Here’s how it’s working.

Our AI Trailblazers are a collection of employees from across the agency covering a range of disciplines. From creatives to data analysts, these AI champions have been experimenting with tools and identifying the best use cases for AI in their teams.

Why build a group like this one?

What we’ve found at Just Global:

Diverse perspectives lead to better AI solutions

Marketing is a team sport, and our Trailblazers ensure that our AI strategy is tailored to every aspect of the business.

AI adoption starts with experimentation

This group have had the freedom to test, fail, and succeed with AI tools, building confidence in how they can transform their day-to-day tasks.

Keeping momentum and motivation high

By empowering our Trailblazers, we’ve created internal AI champions who spread enthusiasm and best practices.

Whatever your specialism, building this sort of group at a global, multi-faceted business can have (and in our case has had) a big impact.

The important word here being empowered.

Giving our people a voice, and listening

From the very first kickoff meeting, we made one thing clear: this was a safe space to experiment and fail forward.

We opened with a simple exercise. Everyone shared their thoughts on AI – what excited them, what made them hesitant. This set the foundation for a supportive community where every voice mattered.

The Trailblazers were granted early access to AI, giving them the freedom to fully explore these technologies.

A few weeks in, we hosted focus groups and posed this question: “What does success with AI look like for Just Global?” Their answers shaped not only our mission and vision for AI but also the collaborative roadmap that would guide us forward.

Building the Roadmap and Rolling It Out

To test our chosen AI solution the group built a structured success matrix to measure its impact, and the results spoke for themselves. From there, we co-created a rollout plan, ensuring our roadmap reflected the vision and voices of the Trailblazers.

The roadmap broke the rollout into a three-month phased plan.

Clear and consistent communication was key to the successful implementation of the tool across the organization.

Week 1: We launched ChatGPT Team with logins and quick-start guides in multiple formats, and also captured baseline AI usage across the company.

Week 2: A company-wide training session introduced the basics of AI capabilities and prompt writing, with additional resources shared afterward for further learning.

Week 3: The Trailblazers hosted an inspiration session to spark new ideas and applications.

Week 4: Trailblazer-led workshops broke into smaller groups, encouraging deeper engagement and providing space for questions and discussion.

How It All Fits Together

Our AI rollout is not an isolated project—it’s part of a larger strategic vision. Here’s how the pieces fit together:

  • Company-Wide Adoption: Ensuring every employee has the tools and training to leverage AI in their roles.
  • Training & Development: Platforms like WorkRamp enable ongoing AI training sessions, complete with badge certifications, so that every team member feels confident using AI tools.
  • Security & Compliance: AI usage must be responsible, secure, and in compliance with company policies. This is a top priority for us and includes enabling multi-factor authentication and monitoring data usage.
  • Ongoing Collaboration: Fostering collaboration across departments — whether through the Trailblazers or dedicated Slack channels — encourages constant learning and innovation as things evolve.

Having our AI Trailblazers at the heart of a unified AI strategy ensures that everyone, from account managers to creative directors, has the tools and support they need to thrive in a world where AI and marketing intersect.

Why This Matters

Whether you’re an AI enthusiast or a skeptic, one thing is certain – AI is here to stay, and it’s changing the way we work.

At Just Global, we’re not just adopting AI because it’s trendy. We want it to enhance the way we deliver value.

As we continue to test and learn, we’ll be sharing how our journey goes in the hope that others might gain something from it.

As I mentioned before, embedding AI is about working together across disciplines. So here we are, working together with our community. Let’s embrace the future together.
